Four Wise Men's Game Layout

Playing the Wise Men's Game

If you click, in the drawing, on each of the nine elements of the game, you'll find explanations for each of these elements. The nine elements are:

  • the four elements of truth which define the map

  • the four wise man cards which define the four truths

  • the axis mundi at the center of the game.

The Facts Card

There are three qualities which define each game card, the time and place in which they occur and the type of experience.

With facts, the time is one theoretical moment in time. The place is one theoretical frozen position in space. And the experience is that of measurement, either a Reference to a Standard Scale (an RSS) or an Observed Definite Event (an ODE)

Realize this is just another way to refer to the Materialist Wise Man's realm, visible unchange. Here, visible means facts must refer to something physical not mental, some person, place, thing, or event that can be seen. And unchange refers to the idea that both time and place stand still. They don't change. Indeed, this is what makes facts a theoretical truth, the idea that they don't change. And yes, new facts can contradict old facts. But once a fact comes into being, it never changes, even if later someone realizes it was wrong.

This then is the hardest thing to understand about facts. And about theoretical things in general. Facts, once they exist, never change, albeit new facts can contradict old facts.
